He was the first boy born in his family, particularly on his mother’s side, so he was pampered a lot. His Grandma gave him a silver bathtub when he was born, and he spent a major part of his childhood with her.

His father encouraged him to play sports, and he got into Hockey and hoped to be a national hockey player. But he got an injury, and after that, he couldn't play hockey due to back pain. So he went to Lady Shri Ram College to take part in plays. From there, he started taking part in plays and realized his interest in acting.
His mother was the one who believed in him & told him that he’d be a great actor like Dilip Kumar. When SRK decided to be an actor and move to Mumbai after his mother’s death, his friends told him that he’s not that handsome or soft. Even many of the directors told him that he lacks charm. Mansoor Khan told him that he’s an interesting actor because he’s so ugly that he can be cast in any role, which is why he took Villain’s roles in the beginning.

He’s evolving with the times, so he’s changing the subjects of his movies to better cater to his audience. He wishes to make movies so great that the world can watch his films and say in praise that it’s an Indian movie.
Once in an award show, he was told by someone that awards are paid for. So he went to the journalists and told them publicly that he wanted an award for his performance in Baazigar. He handed them ₹250 and told them he’d pay that in instalments if they wanted more. They got embarrassed and told him that they don’t give awards for money. When he did win the award for the film, he apologised to those people.
SRK does not consider acting to be a business and treats it with reverence. He loves to be in front of the camera and act. He had stopped charging money for acting in films since the early 2000s. He tells the directors/producers to invest in the movie, and if it makes money, you can give him some. His source of income is other things he does, like endorsements, live shows, IPL, etc.
SRK has been associated with controversies often. He has been accused of going for sex determination of his third child. He was invited by Hafiz Saeed to Pakistan when political leaders started accusing him of having a more amicable relationship with Pakistan than India because of him being a Muslim.
At Wankhede Stadium, during IPL 2012, he had a rift with the MCA officials, due to which he was banned from stadiums for life. He had a huge fight with the other two superstar Khans, which lasted for years. Apart from that, he has been stopped at the US airports twice due to his last name. These days, he is troubled with his son Aryan alleged to be a part of a cruise party where he allegedly had drugs.
SRK is an actor who has won an award from UNESCO for his charitable deeds. He has put efforts to make a separate ward for cancer patients and children in Nanavati Hospital. His real prize from IPL 7, i.e.15 crores, was donated to cancer patients for their treatments. In 2012, he adopted 12 villages and has taken care of those people to date. His foundation, “Make a Wish”, is to fulfil the wishes of children. He has done similar charity work in South Africa and Singapore.
