Gadar 2 Motion Poster: Sunny Deol And Ameesha Patel Are Back After 20 Years With ‘The Biggest Sequel Ever’

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel made a big announcement on Dusshera. The actors took to their respective social media handles and announced the biggest sequel of the Indian cinema. The two revealed that the sequel to their 2001 film Gadar is in the making. Sharing the glimpse of the motion poster, Sunny Deol wrote in his IG caption, that fans can finally rejoice as the wait for Gadar 2 is finally over.
The leading lady of Gadar, Ameesha Patel also shared the motion poster of Gadar 2 on her IG, excitedly. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement and commented on large numbers on the post.

Speaking about the motion poster of Gadar 2, It is a dramatic one, giving us an insight into the team behind the film. The motion poster read, the film is produced by ZEE Studios and Anil Sharma Productions. The film will be an Anil Sharma directorial. Ameesha Patel described the film as the ‘biggest sequel of the Indian cinema’.
Anil Sharma had helmed the first part of the movie as well. Gadar 2 also stars Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma, who featured as a child artist in Gadar. Gadar, which eventually became a blockbuster, was the story of a Sikh truck driver named Tara Singh, played by Sunny Deol, who fell in love with a Muslim girl Sakina, portrayed by Ameesha Patel. Tara and Sakina’s love story was set against the Hindu-Muslim riots during the Partition ear.

When Gadar had reached its 20th-anniversary mark, director Anil Sharma had spoken to a leading publication about why he felt Sunny Deol would be perfect for their role. He had said that while he was conceptualizing the film he knew Sunny would be perfect for it and it would be his iconic role. There’s no one in the industry apart from him to do this. Anil Sharma was quoted saying.
Gadar 2 is expected to release next year.
