Harivansh Rai Bachchan Death Anniversary: Amitabh Bachchan Remembers Father Using Social Media; Check Out His Heartfelt Thoughts

Amitabh Bachchan, one of the most influential names of Bollywood, is an actor, producer, television host, singer, and whatnot. He is a gem in the film industry and known for his works in Hindi cinema. During the 1970s-1980s, he was considered the most dominant actor in the Indian movie scene. Once, the French director, François Truffaut, complimented him as a ‘one-man industry’.

Bachchan was born in Allahabad to the Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and his wife, the social activist Teji Bachchan. His father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, was an Indian poet and a famous writer. His popular works include Nayi Kavita’s literary movement of the early 20th century Hindi literature, Hindi Kavi Sammelan and, he was best known for his early work Madhushala. His words of wisdom have been immortalized and will be in our minds and hearts forever.

Harivansh Rai Bachchan passed away in 2003 and, on his 19th death anniversary today, his son and actor Amitabh Bachchan has penned down a heartfelt tribute on social media. His note reads, “The midnight has passed by to the day of the next and the remembrance of his Babuji, on the virtuous moment, of the completion of his exceptional life, we have not even touched a hair of his contribution to the world of literature. Nor has there been any attempt to do so.” He also mentioned in his post that some people still value and exhibit their desires, like the city of Wroclaw in Poland, where his father’s miniature statue adorns the street.

Later, the Agneepath actor also thanked the social media users who gave their immense respect to the iconic Indian poet, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, on his death anniversary while commenting on his tweet. Harivansh’s literature has also contributed to the film industry as they have been used in several movies. Apart from this, Big B aka Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most active social media users. He recently updated his ‘back to work’ look on his social media handle. To which his granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, reacted by asking him for his hoodie.
