How would Chembarathi’s Krishnan react if he had to take over as Chandradas in Sathya Enna Penkutty?

Sathya and Sudhi are going through the worst time on Sathya Enna Penkutty. Sudhi is now in a conundrum and can’t seem to get his head around it. Divya’s re-entry has made him lose all control over himself and his life. The change in his behaviour has led to multiple troubles with Sathya and the couple is on the verge of breaking up. Although some members of the Manimangalam family seem happy about this, Chandradas is infuriated and is vocal about it too.

Chandradas is a calm and composed person. Good at heart, he always stands by what’s right. Lately, his actions have been changing and he has become disturbed thanks to Sudhi’s actions. His son’s behaviour worsening by the day is making Chandradas angry almost up to the level where he might lash out at him anytime soon. As of now he is trying to explain the emotional side of the problems to his confused son and is failing miserably. While he continues to try, we can only wonder how Krishnan from Chembarathi would have handled the situation.

If there is one character in Chembarathi who has absolutely no haters, it is none other than Krishnan. In many ways, he and Chandradas are the same. They both are loving and good at heart and live for their families. Both of them have proved that they have a great rapport with their sons too. However, there are a few things different between the two fathers.

Being the patriarchal head of the family, Krishnan has a lot of power in his hands. Unlike Chandradas, who is too innocent to cross-question his son, Krishnan has proved that he can be tough at times. Although he is friendly with his two sons, he knows when to get tough and get things done. He has a certain power over them, which is respected by Anand and Aravind. If put in Chandadas’ shoes, it is expected that Krishnan would take Sathya’s side but his treatment of Sudhi would be much different.

Sudhi tested his father’s patience when he said that he was thinking about Divya. For Chandradas, his married son thinking about another woman seemed unacceptable. But instead of lashing out at his son, he kept his calm and tried to talk him out of it. Meanwhile, we can’t help but imagine that Krishnan would have broken out at his son if he was in such a position.

Krishnan is a virtuous man who likes a certain system being followed. When Sudhi told Chandradas that he cancelled the party set up for his birthday, Chandradas left it without questioning. It isn’t hard to imagine that Krishnan would have immediately had a fallout with his son over such a decision and would have even succeeded in reversing it. Although calm in nature, Krishnan’s control over his family’s functioning is his stronghold, which Chandradas clearly lacks.
