Mother’s Day 2021: Asawari From Aggabai Sunbai And Sarita From Mazhya Navryachi Bayko Prove That Mothers-In-Law Can Be As Loving As Your Own Mom!

Gone are the days when mothers-in-law were just portrayed as negative women who were controlling and manipulative. In today’s day and age, this portrayal is old and even inaccurate sometimes as moms-in-law nowadays are more accepting, modern and loving. In Zee Marathi shows too, you will find these adorable mothers-in-law who are actually very motherly with their suns. This Mother’s Day, let’s celebrate two such mothers-in-law who are especially endearing, we’re referring to Asawari Kulkarni Raje from Aggabai Sunbai and Sarita Vasant Subhedar from Mazhya Navryachi Bayko!

In Aggabai Sunbai, we are constantly seeing Asawari take care of Shubhra like her own daughter. Asawari worries about Shubhra’s health and mind and she wants Shubhra to achieve her full potential. She wants her to be more motivated and to work towards something instead of being cooped up in the house, just following her duties as a mother. Asawari knows from her experience what that does to a woman as she too was once like Shubhra. So, Asawari takes it upon herself to motivate Shubhra and hype her up every time that she is low!

In Mazhya Navryachi Bayko, we also saw Sarita do similar things. No doubt she loved and adored her boy Gurunath until he was known to be evil and manipulative time and again. Sarita’s motherly love for Gurunath never truly vanished, yet she never once stopped supporting Radhika. In fact, even after Radhika chose to part ways from Gurunath, Sarita remained a mother figure for her. Sarita and Vasant (Gurunath’s father) even encouraged Saumitra to propose to Radhika and they blessed her when she finally decided to marry again.

Sarita chose to stand with her till the very end of the show when Gurunath’s true colours were revealed one final time and it was game over for him. She along with her husband moved from the city to the village Radhika was working in so that they could help her out and protect her from Gurunath, that was the depth of their love for her!

Aggabai Sunbai too has shown how much Asawari loves Shubhra when she admitted that if she ever finds out that Soham has been unfaithful and they want to end their marriage, she will keep Shubhra with herself in the Kulkarni house and throw Soham out of it. We might get to see Asawari follow Sarita’s footsteps as Shubhra embarks on a journey to find herself and leave Soham.

Both Asawari and Sarita took care of their suns in times of need like biological mothers and their love for their suns never once looked smaller than their love for their sons. We applaud these two sasubais for their beautiful characters!
