Pavitra Rishta 2: Abhidnya Bhave Heaps Praises On Manav Aka Shaheer Shaikh; Says, ‘If Sushant Had Seen Even He Would’ve Praised His Performance’

Pavitra Rishta 2 is the re-boot of the original 2007 Pavitra Rishta and started airing on September 15, 2021. This show is dedicated to the late Shushant Singh Rajput who started his career in the industry with this. When the news broke of Shaheer Shaikh essaying Sushant’s character ‘Manav’ the audience was not much sure on the same and some were just not ready to accept it as they believed that no one could capture Sushant’s essence. Looks like things have changed ever since the trailer was released and Shaheer Shaikh has garnered immense appreciation from the audience keeping their spirits high understanding the emotional connection Sushant built with his character. Abhidnya Bhave who played the role of Ankita Lokhande aka Archana’s sister-in-law, Manjusha has praised Shaheer for his performance. She also said that people should not compare him with Sushant as they both are quite different and the show is a tribute to Sushant.

She also shared that When she clicked a picture with Shaheer, she told him they look like siblings. That picture broke my heart as she is his huge fan and has had a huge crush on him since she saw him as Arjun in the epic drama Mahabharat. The two had so many fun moments with each other. Shaheer is an absolutely amazing person and is so calm, composed and so focused on his work. And it is true nobody can replace Sushant. He has given so much to the industry and no one can ever replace him. But she believes there is no one better than Shaheer who could have done this role after Sushant. She believes that people need to understand them those who work as actors are not here to grab other’s roles or to snatch other’s work. They are not here to get in a better position than the other actor. They are just artists who want the piece of art to look beautiful. And that is what Sushant did. She feels Sushant must be very happy because this is like a tribute to him. Even today, when they talk about Pavitra Rishta, they definitely recall Sushant.

Abhidnya also shared that feels there is no point in comparing Sushant and Shaheer because both of them are different people, different performers. She also believes if Sushant was here today, he would have appreciated the work so much even though it is his baby. He would have been so happy for Shaheer Sheikh. She thinks we must not just grieve for the person, we need to celebrate what he has done and that is what will make his soul feel happy. She believes if Sushant was there today and wasn’t a part of Pavitra Rishta 2, he would have still praised and supported Shaheer for his performance because he was that kind of person.
