Rajinikanth hospitalised in Kauvery Hospital

On October 28, actor Rajinikanth was admitted to Kauvery Hospital. He is stable, according to hospital authorities. The actor’s condition has been reported just one day after releasing the teaser for his upcoming flick Annaatthe. Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, and Kushboo feature in the film.

According to sources close to the actor, he was at the hospital for a normal checkup, however it was unclear whether he would be staying overnight. However, at 2.30 p.m. today, Kauvery Hospital issued an official medical bulletin stating that Rajinikanth had been thoroughly evaluated and had been advised to undergo Carotid Artery revascularization. The procedure was completed satisfactorily, according to the hospital. Rajinikanth will be released from the hospital in a few days. Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad in December 2020 due to severe blood pressure changes.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian allegedly paid the actor a visit, saying that they are in contact with the hospital and that he (Rajinikanth) is doing well. So far, the actor’s family has been mum about his health.

Rajinikanth was in New Delhi earlier this week for the 67th National Film Awards, where he received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. His wife, Latha, daughter Aishwarya R Dhanush, and son-in-law, actor Dhanush, were also present. Dhanush was also presented with a National Award at the event.

Rajinikanth also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind during his visit. He used Twitter to publish photos from his trip. Annaatthe marks Rajinikanth’s return to the big screen. Siva directed the Tamil film, which will be released on Diwali. Rajinikanth is rumoured to have signed a film with each of his daughters, Aishwaryaa and Soundarya, according to recent sources. However, no formal announcement has yet been made on the subject.
