Rani Rashmoni: 5 times Ramakrishna Deb felt the presence of the goddess herself and left us in goosebumps

Popular Bengali television show Rani Rashmoni is based on the real-life story of Rani Rashmoni and the events that took place throughout her life. Gadadhar Chattopadhyay AKA Ramakrishna Paramhansa, was a prominent part of Rani Rashmoni’s life ever since Rani had appointed him as the priest of the Dakshineshwar Kali Temple. The humble and devoted Gadadhar had the luck of feeling Goddess Kali‘s presence several times around him and the experiences are chilling to even imagine.

1. Goddess Kali expressed her hunger to Gadadhar

In an episode, Gadadhar was seen praying and worshipping Goddess Kali, offering her food to eat. Goddess Kali appeared in front of him when he sang her praises with utmost devotion. A heartfelt conversation followed, with Gadadhar insisting the mother that she should accept the prasad and eat it. She even stopped Gadadhar from attacking Shibananda when he threw away the plate of food.

2. Goddess Kali saved Gadadhar

In a recent episode, Gadadhar Chattopadhyay had threatened to Goddess Kali about taking his own life in front of her eyes as she was not reviving Shibananda Thakur. Gadadhar took her weapon to kill himself when she did not respond to him. The Goddess could not stand this and immediately appeared to stop him from doing this.

3. Goddess Kali’s disappearance from the temple

When Gadadhar met a little girl at the ghat and denied the girl’s request to worship Goddess Durga, the girl left saying he will have to come back to worship her. When Gadadhar went back to the temple, he was informed that the idol of Goddess Kali had disappeared. Gadadhar broke down crying wondering why Maa Kali had left him and what his mistake was. But a miracle was on its way!

4. Goddess Kali’s appearance as Goddess Durga

In forthcoming episodes, Goddess Durga appeared in front on Gadadhar when he went to open Goddess Kali’s temple room. Seeing her, Gadadhar was shocked. Goddess Durga transformed herself into Goddess Kali in order to make Gadadhar realise that they were both just two different forms of ‘shakti’ and both should be worshipped with equal devotion and love.

5. Goddess Kali’s wish to be worshipped as Maha Lakshmi

In one of the latest episodes, Gadadhar was seen requesting Goddess Kali to respond to him with her wish. Goddess Kali appeared and let him know that she wished to be worshipped along with Goddess Lakshmi in the same temple on the occasion of Shyama Puja. She expressed her desire to be worshipped in both forms, Maha Kali and Maha Lakshmi.
