Here’s how Sathya could derive strength from Prathi Poovankozhi’s Madhuri, especially when it comes to fighting a lone battle.

A lot of times, Sathya from Sathya Enna Penkutty has been an inspiration for women from all walks of life. From the way she handled her father’s garage to the ways she was managing the business at Manimangalam Builders’ office, Sathya has challenged patriarchy at every step of the way. But lately, with the way everything has been happening, it seems like things are taking a turn for the worse. Sathya looks more dejected than ever and her fighting spirit appears to have been lost somewhere. And in this situation, we could think of no one better than Prathi Poovankozhi‘s Madhuri to be a source of strength for Sathya.

Check out what’s happening on Sathya Enna Penkutty here:

Prathi Poovankozhi‘s story revolves around a simple saree saleswoman named Madhuri, portrayed by Manju Warrier, and her experience of dealing with the person who sexually assaulted her. To give you a quick background of the story, it all starts when one day a local goon named Antappan played by Rosshan Andrrews, sexually assaults Madhuri while she’s travelling through the local bus. It then follows her journey of revenge and how she stands up for herself, against her assaulter, without any moral or financial backing.

The most admirable quality about Madhuri was the way she stood as steady as a rock, even when everyone refused to support her, including her own mother. Sathya at least has her mother, grandmother, and even Chandradas’s support when it comes to fighting her battles. Even though Chandradas won’t go against his son, he’d still support Sathya with all his heart. And even if she didn’t have anyone’s support, we believe Sathya should continue fighting for her rights as Madhuri did.

Madhuri fought with all her might, even when it wasn’t for herself but the little school girl. Here Sathya just needs to take a stand for herself. Just like Madhuri, Sathya shouldn’t stop at anything unless she finds whatever she was looking for. In Madhuri’s case it was Antappan, in Sathya’s case it would be Divya, as finding Divya could solve many of Madhuri’s problems.

Sathya should never compromise on her fighting spirit, even for Sudhi. We have seen Sathya standing tall when it comes to giving a befitting reply to Sujitha, but she always goes soft on Sudhi. This shouldn’t be the case. In Prathi Poovankozhi, when a man who had come to ask Madhuri’s hand in marriage asked her to let go of her idea to teach her assaulter a lesson and just get married to him soon, Madhuri clearly took a stand saying that it is something she has to do for herself. Similarly, we wish Sathya wouldn’t compromise on her self-respect and would take a strong stand for herself even in front of Sudhi, who is constantly seen belittling her lately.

We really hope that Sathya gets her strength and brave, fearless attitude back again because that could be the only way she can get out of this mess.
