Soon after, rumors circulated that the makers of ‘Jersey’ were planning a digital release for the film, while another report claimed that Shahid had taken a pay cut from his fee of Rs 31 crore in order for the film not to be released digitally.
Shahid Kapoor seems to have helped his producers in this regard. The film is very close to the actor’s heart, and he went above and beyond, even if it meant reducing his fee significantly. According to reports, Shahid has decided to cut royalties if necessary in order to get Jersey into theatres.

Mrunal Thakur plays the lead in the sports drama.
After the rising Covid cases, the team of Jersey had gotten a prior intimation that Delhi cinema halls might be closed soon, As a result, they held multiple meetings to discuss the film’s future course of action, as their entire marketing campaign had already begun and there wasn’t much left to promote.
