‘Sholay’ Star Dharmendra’s 85th Birthday Is All Above Love, Togetherness And Happiness; Watch Video

Legendary actor Dharmendra, who has worked in a slew of movies over the years has charmed the audience with his overwhelming roles. He has been a part of more than 200 films and some of his numbers and movies received lots of love from his fans. His films like Sholay, Saugandh Geeta Ki, Shola Aur Shabnam, Dharam Veer, among others remain fresh in the hearts of fans even today. On his birthday, December 8, his family members and fans stormed the internet with love-filled wishes. Indeed, it was an overwhelming celebration for the 85-year-old star.

On his birthday, wife Hema Malini dug out an old photograph from the time when they got married in 1980. She also posted a recent pic with her husband in which the duo was all smiling. She tweeted, “Today we celebrate Dharamji’s birthday. It is the love and affection of u fans who still watch and appreciate our movies that we remain fresh in your memories.” Hema continued that love is what keeps them going and that they need fans’ blessings for their togetherness to last. “Thank u for all the love,” she added. 

More so, Dharmendra’s sons, Sunny and Bobby also penned sweet notes for their “papa”. His grandson Karan Deol, posted a throwback picture with the Dharam Veer actor. Daughter, Esha Deol’s post on Instagram also won many hearts. “Holding on to this hand for eternity. Love you papa. Happy Birthday. Wish you happiness & the best of health always,” wrote Esha. While Sunny went to all his father the “greatest actor” and the ”greatest human being in this world,” Bobby shared a mushy photo in which he could be seen planting a kiss on his dad’s cheeks.

On a show, Dharmendra had mentioned that he was very close to his mother and that that he has learnt all the moral values from her. He said, “I was massaging her legs. After that, my mother told me, you didn’t get tired, you didn’t tell me that I’m going. After drinking a little, if you can massage my feet so well, then please take one and do this often for me.” Everyone on the show laughed out loud after Dharmendra made this revelation. On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen Shimla Mirchi. He is gearing up for Apne 2, alongside his sons.
