Zaheer Iqbal has finally put a finger on his next project post his Notebook debut and it’s with Mudassar Aziz and Ashwin Varde. The film is titled Double XL starring Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi in the lead.
A source close also informed that Zaheer plays a very crucial role in the film, and both Mudassar and Ashwin feel that he fits the part. The film is expected to roll in a few months, and a large portion of it will be shot in the UK. Zaheer’s character is kept under wraps and so has Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi’s. This star cast is a mix and match of some experienced talent and some fresh-off-the-boat talent and looks pretty interesting too.
Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in Bhuj: The Pride of India. She will be seen next in Reema Kagti’s web show, and director Aditya Sarpotdar’s Kakuda in the pipeline. Besides Sonakshi, Kakuda also features Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem.

Huma got a lot of praise for her performance in Maharani. She was also recently seen in Bell Bottom with Akshay Kumar., She also has Vasan Bala’s Monica, O My Darling, and H. Vinoth’s Valimai with Ajith Kumar in her list.
Zaheer Iqbal’s notebook story revolved around Kabir, an ex-soldier, who becomes a teacher and finds a diary left by Firdaus, a former employee of the school. He follows the writings in the book and soon finds himself falling for the writer. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and some viewers fell in love with the story and some just found it meh. The notebook was backed by Salman Khan, and co-produced by Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani. Reportedly, it was a remake of the 2014 Thai film, The Teacher’s Diary.
Zaheer’s next character is awaited now and more information is awaited eagerly for the film.
