The film Tanhaji is based on a historical unsung hero- Tanhaji Malusare’s sacrifice yet a victory. Ajay Devgn was the lead star and Kajol played the role of Tanhaji’s wife- Savitribai, who was ultimately a brave lady. On this, the occasion of the movie turning 2, Kajol shared a video on Instagram which pays a tribute to her role- Savitribai. The video compiles a few shots of Kajol from the movie itself, and the song belongs to the same movie, which is more about how a wife of a warrior prays for her husband with pride. She worships him and bravely supports him. Women, since those times, have been brave and on behalf of the second anniversary of the movie, she pays tribute to all warrior women.

As she captions the video and says ‘Here’s to the strength & support that the warrior’s ladies provided to the battlefield, here’s to Savitribai and here’s to’. As many celebrities commented and said ‘You give everything gravitas,” Richa Chadha said as soon as she shared the post. Tanishaa Mukerji, Kajol’s sister, expressed her appreciation in the comments section. The film was praised by audiences and fans showered their love by congratulating Kajol in the comment section.

The movie grossed around 3.68 billion worldwide and was considered a blockbuster movie at the box office. Om Raut had directed the movie. The film also starred Sharad Kelkar, Elakshi Gupta, Saif Ali Khan, and Neha Sharma.

On the work front, Om Raut’s next movie will be’ Aadipurush’. Kajol will be next seen in ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ with Aamir Khan.
