Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz And Senthil Ramamurthy Roped In For An Upcoming Film; Yet-untitled Movie Is Touted To Be Modern Love Tale

It is a time for Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz and Senthil Ramamurthy to come together and share the screen space. Yes, all four of them will star in the upcoming film directed by leading ad filmmaker, Shirsha Guha Thakurta. They are teamed up for a yet-untitled romantic comedy-drama. The upcoming film is produced by Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment. The film is a progressive, uninhibited take on modern relationships, and marks Applause’s foray into the big screen experience and second collaboration with Ellipsis.

The makers of the film have now officially announced the film. The lead actress in the yet-untitled film, Vidya Balan took to her social media account and shared a series of photos. The first photo was featuring all four of them. The second one was of the producers and the last two come from the press conferences. While sharing the photo, the actress wrote, “Stoked about my next – an untitled charming drama-comedy about modern relationships, which promises to be either your story or the story of your friend. It will make you laugh and cry in equal measure and I’m enjoying playing Kavya to the hilt.”

Talking about the film director Shirsha Guha Thakurta told a leading daily that when he first heard the story of the film, he was instantly attracted to its universe- honest, funny and so today. The actors have been a dream to work with. Their generosity is something the director will always cherish. His producers, Applause and Ellipsis have been extremely supportive and stood by him like a rock. He said that he is nervous, but this journey so far has been truly special to him.

The producers Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Swati Iyer said that the subject of love remains intriguing and debated. They were keen to tackle relationship fatigue by coming up with something that is dynamic, nuanced, relaplifting and humorous, all in the same breath. This is probably the story of life or definitely one that one has seen one or more of your friends go through. With a formidable cast, script and director, Applause and Ellipsis are truly excited about this multi-starrer film, concluded the producer team.
