Watch: A Pregnant Geeta Basra Practices Prenatal Yoga In This Throwback Video

Here’s a throwback to when Bollywood actress Geeta Basra shared video tutorials of Prenatal Yoga while explaining the benefits of each asana.

Bollywood actress Geeta Basra along with her husband Harbhajan Singh recently welcomed their little baby boy. The actress is popularly known for her role in the 2007 drama thriller, The Train, opposite Emraan Hashmi. However, it’s been pretty long since the actress has worked in any Bollywood film. But that hasn’t stopped Geeta from keeping her fans updated about her life while giving out some valuable information.

The new mom Geeta Basra, was seen regularly practicing prenatal Yoga during her pregnancy. She also shared three IGTV videos on her profile, where the actress can be seen following a Prenatal Yoga routine. In one of those videos, the actress was seen doing a Malasana pose, which she claims “helps to open the hips and lengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor”.

Later, the actress shifted to the Ustrasana also known as the camel pose. Geeta also stated that this modified version of the backward bend was great for “opening up the shoulders, chest, and hips”, which in turn will help the mom-to-be during delivery. It also proves to be helpful in stretching the pelvis and giving flexible legs, which will in turn “prevent strain or injuries when pushing your baby out”, claims the actress.

Geeta Basra then switched to the Butterfly pose which the actress calls “an easy exercise and a gentle pose”. She also said it helps in “stretching the groin area and the hamstrings while eradicating abdominal discomfort”. The pose is also known to be meditative and thus will also help in the mental wellbeing of the mother. No wonder, Geeta Basra had a smooth delivery, she was prepping her body right from the start.
