100 – A Cop Thriller Movie Filled With Twists, Action and Drama

100 is a Tamil language film and dubbed in Hindi language is about a young policeman who gets posted in the control room. At first, he curses his luck, but the 100th call he receives changes everything drastically and sets him on a mission to solve a strange case. Movie 100 comes with endless twists and turns which keep the viewers on their toes. 

100 Movie Basic Details

The 100 Movie Release date was 9th May 2019. The third movie of 100 director Sam Anton, the 100 cast included Atharvaa Murali as the main lead cop Sathya, Hansika Motwani as his love interest Nisha and Raj Ayyappa as Vignesh (Nisha’s brother also referred as Vicky). Yogi Babu as Jackson (sub-inspector) and Radha Ravi as Pistol Perumal were seen in supporting roles. The movie was produced by Kaviya Mahesh with a total run time of 141 minutes.

100 Movie Plot

Atharvaa Murali (Sathya), a young police inspector, instead of being able to solve crimes and mysteries like Mahesh (Anwar) who was his childhood friend, is posted in the control room where Radha Ravi (Pistol Perumal) mentors him. He is not happy with his posting but is not able to change it. Raj Ayappa (Vignesh or Vicky), the brother of Sathya's girlfriend Hansika Motwani (Nisha), is dating Harija (Ayesha), the sister of Anwar. Sathya initially believes that his position is as routine as Nisha's (a call center employee), but Perumal believes that this 100th call will transform the life of the operator.

Sathya’s 100th call was by Sandhya. Earlier she was assumed to be dead. However, Sathya succeeds in saving Sandhya from the kidnappers. He hands them over to Anwar to hide his identity. 

He, however, cannot locate any information about Sandhya's return. He contacts Anwar out of concern, but Anwar refuses that Sathya handed over Sandhya to him. He assumes that Anwar is involved in the kidnapping, so he persuades Perumal to work with him to solve the case by interrogating the criminal who had previously admitted to killing Sandhya. The criminal admits that Das, who controls a drug mafia in the city, is his employer.

After sneaking into Das’s hideout, he discovers that associate Cheenu Mohan (David) was the real mastermind. He supplied girls to millionaires and then fakes their murder in order to divert the matter from being investigated. Sathya arrests David. However, David gets murdered by some masked assasin. 

The assassin is discovered to be Anwar who accepted that he had no information of the drug cartel but had to kill David in order to save Harija (Ayesha). Anwar was given instructions to kill Sathya but he couldn’t do so. Later, Anwar commits suicide. 

Sathya was quite disturbed. He got the information that the mastermind had beaten Vicky who is admitted in the hospital. The kidnappers call him and tell him to reach a secluded place to take Ayesha. However, on reaching Sathya finds Sandhya and not Ayesha. 

The kidnapper’s phone is traced by Perumal in the hospital. Vicky was also in the same hospital. The place gets surrounded by police. Sandhya gives a statement to the police revealing that Vicky was the drug lord and had kidnapped the girls. But, Vicky runs away and calls Sathya to exchange Sandhya with Ayesha. Sathya is forced to stay on call. But, he mentions the word HELP on the windshield of his car. 

Perumal dispatches a police force to help him. As they realize that Sandhya was bugged, Sathya lets the team proceed with Sandhya to the location, while he receives Vicky’s location. Sathya beats Vicky and rescues Ayesha. 

Perumal is asked to shoot down Vicky and he does so, thrilled because he had never used a pistol. Also, his service time of 5 minutes was remaining. Due to the success, Sathya is transferred to CID, but realizes his importance in the control room and decides to stick there. He gets a call and goes to solve the case. The movie is power packed with twists and turns which keep the viewers hooked to it. 

Performance of 100 Movie Lead Cast

The audience liked the performance by the protagonist Atharva and he justified his role by being a physically fit and intelligent cop. Radha Ravi, Naren and all of the supporting cast have done a work worth applause. All of the characters in the movie are minutely shaped, thus making the movie interesting to watch.
