The movie starts with Soumyo being very young, and his father took him to San Francisco because his parents divorced, and Soumyo's father took custody.

Soumyo went with his father to San Francisco. After living in San Francisco for more than 20 years, he returned to India when he learned about his mother's death because he was the only son of Suschismita, so all the rituals were to be performed by Soumyo only. 

He came to India with the motive of just finishing all the rituals and going back to San Francisco. When he went to where his mother lived, he got to know a different side of his mother that he had been unaware of for the past 22 years. Soumyo got several items that his mother left for him, including a diary in which she had written many things for her son, Soumyo. 

Soumyo discovers the love and affection of his mother towards him from the people who were close to his mother. With every new person, he finds a different perspective of his mother towards him. The diary that her mother left for him helps him to connect with his mother.

Ankur Khana, like always, is natural and true to his character. He maintained his stature throughout the movie. Raima Sen has done her role pretty well. She has managed to portray her character as supportive. Without a doubt, the bond and the chemistry between both of them made the movie very beautiful and left a long-lasting impression.
