The story starts with a team of four adventures led by Hu Bayi, and they go to Gulan county for their next adventure. There they start exploring a ghost grave, but in the middle of their exploration, they get attacked by a demon spider residing in that area and get almost killed in the process. Although they managed to survive, somehow they got cursed by the demon spider and got a red spot. After reading some old text written by one of their grandparents, they discovered a temple hiding the secret behind the curse.
To cure themselves, they decide to go to that temple and unveil its secrets. But they had no idea what fate has come to them as they needed to face a black jade demon king before they could reach their destination. Will they be able to explore the temple and cure themselves, or will the demon king get the better of them?
