The Karate Kid (2010) Movie Synopsis
Dre Parker, a 12-year-old American boy, moves to China with her mother. He finds it difficult to adjust to the new environment of Beijing. He was unaware of the new culture and found it difficult to gel with the new people.
The movie starts when Dre, in high school, gets bullied by a boy named Cheng. Dre loses morale and respect as Cheng is good at karate. An unusual fight between the two occurs when Mr Han, the maintenance man who has been a martial artist, comes to Dre's rescue and saves him from Cheng and his friends.
Later, Mr Han takes Dre to the martial art classes to sort things out between Dre and Cheng. However, Cheng's master refuses and asks for a fight instead. With pure intentions of saving the child, he agrees and tells them to conduct the fight in the upcoming tournament.
The movie then brings a strong, compassionate relationship between a teacher and student onto the screen. Mr Han trains Dre in kung fu karate. In the end, after proper training, practice, and guidance Dre wins the championship and earns his respect in the new country.
