In 1984, The Karate Kid, an English movie went on to launch a renowned cinematic franchise, which is today recognized for bringing Karate into mainstream American culture. The movie starts with Daniel's harsh days at his high school. He was bullied by a rich kid named Johnny Lawrence and his friends. It was also seen that Daniel's bestfriend Ali Mills was Johnny's girlfriend. 

One day Miyagi, a Japanese handyman, saved Daniel from Johnny and his friends. Getting inspiration from Miyagi, Daniel asks him to teach him Karate for his self-protection. However, Miyagi refused the appealed proposal. Instead, he meets John Crease and asks him to settle the dispute between the children. However, Crease refused. After which, both teams start preparing for the All Valley Karate Championships to compete with each other. Miyagi also starts preparing Daniel for the fight.

Miyagi used all the day-to-day life chores to style Daniel's Karate skills and was teaching oppositely to Crease, who was insisting his children practice anger and competition day-by-day. During the preparation, Daniel also discovers Miyagi's past and a close relationship with him. Many romantic moments between Daniel and Ali were also flourishing throughout the movie.

In the tournament, Crease asks his students to fight against Daniel sinfully. However, Daniel beats Johnny in the end and wins the trophy and the heart of the audience.
