Taish
Taish on ZEE5 is the first of its kind Indian content to release on an OTT platform. It was released as both – a film and also as a series. Starring Pulkit Samrat, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Jim Sarbh, and Harshvardhan Rane, Taish revolves around the story of two best friends, who meet at a wedding after a long time. However, their celebration takes a dark turn when one of the friends is suddenly reminded of his childhood trauma, leading to the beginning of a series of violent misadventures.
Based on the true story of a Kargil war hero, Major Deependra Singh Sengar, Jeet Ki Zid on ZEE5 is a highly inspirational series. Starring Amit Sadh, Amrita Puri, Sushant Singh, and Aly Goni, the show revolves around the story of Major Sengar, who was gravely injured in the Kargil war and was deemed unable to walk again. Jeet Ki Zid takes us through the journey of the Major getting back on his feet, while also showing us his days in training for the Special Forces of the Indian Army.
Black Widows
Black Widows on ZEE5 is a dark comedy and thriller series, starring Mona Singh, Swastika Mukherjee, Shamita Shetty and Sharad Kelkar. The show is about three women stuck in abusive marriages, to get out of which, they kill their husbands. This one risky act takes them into a world of connivance and what follows next is the revelation of a nation-wide conspiracy.
Naxalbari
Starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Shakti Anand, Tinaa Datta, and Aamir Ali, Naxalbari on ZEE5 is an action thriller series. It revolves around the story of an STF agent, Raghav, who is tasked with curtailing the Naxal uprising in the village of Gadchiroli. His mission turns into a personal war and opens up the truth behind the uprising.
Nail Polish
Nail Polish is a courtroom thriller film, starring Arjun Rampal, Manav Kaul, Anand Tiwari, and Rajit Kapur. The film revolves around a case of gruesome multiple murders of migrant children and soon turns into a more complex affair of identity disorder and manipulation. Its gripping and dark proceeding keep you hooked till the very last second.
Kaagaz
Kaagaz on ZEE5 is a satire comedy film based on the true story of a man named Lal Bihari ‘Mritak’. Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Monal Gajjar and Satish Kaushik, the film narrates the story of a man from a small village, who was falsely declared dead on government records. It depicts his 14 years-long battle with the bureaucracy to prove that he is alive. The movie was co-produced by Salman Khan.
Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari
Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a rom-com, starring Diljit Dosanjh, Manoj Bajpayee, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is a fun and exciting ride about a man named Suraj, whose wedding plans are foiled by a detective, Mangal. To get back at the detective for ruining his image, Suraj begins a love affair with Mangal’s sister, which gives rise to even more comedic situations.
Saand Ki Aankh
Starring Taapee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar, and Vineet Kumar Singh, Saand Ki Aankh is a biopic based on Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar, two of the oldest female champions in the world, in the sport of sharpshooting. The film explores the women’s battle with the world’s discrimination based on their age and gender.
Simmba
This Rohit Shetty directorial, Simmba is an action film, starring Ranveer Singh, Sonu Sood, and Sara Ali Khan. Sangram Bhalerao, aka Simmba, is a corrupt cop, who goes through a change of heart and becomes righteous after a tragedy strikes someone who was extremely close to him. The movie belongs to Shetty’s cop universe that has Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi.
Uri – The Surgical Strike
Uri – The Surgical Strike, is a war film based on the surgical strike that was carried out by the Indian Armed Forces against the terror forces, as a retaliation of the 2016 Uri attacks. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Mohit Raina, Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Kirti Kulhari. With highly intense action scenes, the film follows Major Vihaan Shergill and his team of commandos who successfully carry out the elaborate surgical strikes.
