1. Heerak Rajar Deshe
The 1980 film Heerak Rajar Deshe, a sequel to Satyajit Ray’s 1969 adventure comedy Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne, is yet widely loved not just for its pertinent take on tyranny and fantastic performances, but also because of its unique way of using rhymes as dialogues and its evergreen music. The film starred eminent Bengali actors, namely Soumitra Chatterjee, Utpal Dutt, Rabi Ghosh, and Tapan Chatterjee.
2. Mahapurush
Charuprakash Ghosh, Rabi Ghosh, Prasad Mukherjee and Gitali Roy star in Satyajit Ray’s Mahapurush. The 1965 film follows the events that take place in the lives of a father-daughter duo when they meet Birinchi Baba, who claims to be ageless. Starring Soumitra Chatterjee, Santosh Dutta, Siddartha Chatterjee, and Utpal Dutt, this popular Feluda film takes the audience on a roller-coaster ride of one of his spine-chilling detective adventures. Joi Baba Felunath is a truly captivating watch with Soumitra Chatterjee portraying Feluda’s character, who unravels a mysterious case.

4. Sonar Kella
Sonar Kella is another Feluda film by Ray that makes for a gripping watch. It stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Santosh Dutta, Kushal Chakraborty, Ajoy Banerjee, Kamu Mukherjee, and Shailen Mukherjee. The film follows detective Feluda’s trip to Rajasthan as he follows Mukul (Kushal Chakraborty) after getting hired to take care of him as he embarks upon a journey to find the treasures he dreamt and drew off, along with a parapsychologist in the film.
