83, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, has been hitting the news for quite some time. While the sports drama is one of the year’s most awaited movies, it has been stated that the Kabir Khan directorial film has run into legal difficulty over the rights to the film. Thus according to media sources, the creators of 83 (Vibri Media, director Kabir Khan, producers Sajid Nadiadwala, Deepika Padukone, and others) were accused of conspiring to scam them of their rights in the film.

Future Resource FZE’s advocate, Rizwan Siddiquee, claimed that it’s true that the criminal case had been filed against all of the producers of the film 83 for deceit and criminal conspiracy. He added that the producers were not ready for settling the disagreement peacefully, despite having full knowledge of his client.
This action of the complainant prior to the premiere of the film is motivated, a publicity gimmick, and constitutes contempt of court, the statement said, ‘for which Vibri Media Pvt Ltd is utilizing its legal remedies against the Complainant. The film 83 and its producers are worried, and they reserve the right to take required actions against Future Resources FZE. It should be noted that 83 is based on the Indian cricket team’s historic victory in the 1983 World Cup.’ The film will be released in theaters on December 24th of this year.
