Here’s the latest update about the Raj Kundra Pornography case. Mumbai’s session court has granted anticipatory bail to Shilpa Shetty’s husband on a surety of Rs 50,000

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra who was under policed arrest for his involvement in pornography case has been granted bail. The Mumbai session Court recently made an announcement and granted bail to the businessman on a surety of Rs 50,000. He was facing legal issues in the pornography-related case. On Saturday Raj Kundra moved a bail application in court, claiming that he was being made a “scapegoat” and that there was not single evidence in the supplementary charge sheet of him being actively involved in the creation of alleged questionable content. As per the online reports, the businessman is likely to walk out of the jail on Tuesday at 10:30 AM i.e., tomorrow

The crime branch while investigating the case, filed a 1,500-page supplementary charge sheet against Raj Kundra and three others in the case about the alleged creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. Ryan Thorpe, the Income Tax head of one of Raj Kundra’s firms, has also been granted bail by the Metropolitan magistrate court.

Raj Kundra’s lawyer, Prashant Patil argued in court that the celebrity and producer decide what kind of content is to be uploaded on the platform. “It was not Kundra or Ryan who were deciding what was to be uploaded. In the 1400-page charge sheet, there was not a single piece of evidence showing that Kundra was uploading,” said Patil in court.

On the other hand, the prosecution fiercely opposed the bail and continued arguing that it could lead to evidence tampering. Raj Kundra’s lawyer Prashant Patil continued to say that the formalities of the bail are yet to be completed. This means that businessman, Raj Kundra could be released from jail either later today or tomorrow as well.

It all started in February when a bungalow in Mumbai’s Madh area was raided. The officials had found that pornographic content was being shot inside the same bungalow. The further inquiry led to the arrest of Umesh Kamat who is an associate of Raj Kundra. The initial charge sheet in the case was filed against nine people this year in April. Earlier this month, the Crime Branch filed a 1,467-page supplementary charge sheet against Raj Kundra, Ryan Thorpe, and two others too.
