Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone mark their third anniversary today and DeepVeer as fans lovingly call them have jetted off to Dehradun for their celebrations. On this special occasion, here’s a throwback to the time when Deepika Padukone knew Ranveer Singh was ‘The One’

In an interview with a leading daily Deepika Padukone recollects the time when they first met and she was at Yashraj studio after her shoot and Ranveer happened to be there.

She also added that Ranveer was dating someone at the time and he was still flirting with Deepika like it was nobody’s business and Deepika told him he’s flirting with her and Ranveer was in full denial. He was dating someone back then. At this moment, Deepika knew this guy can make her laugh no matter what, and a couple of years later after dating each other the duo tied the knot on November 14. It’s been three years to their special day and they’re still taking life with a cake of happiness every day.

A source close to the couple shares despite their, jam-packed shoot schedules, Deepika and Ranveer made it a point to take some time off and unwind together on their third marriage anniversary.

This power couple tied a knot on November 14 in Italy. Their dreamy wedding at Lake Como was attended by friends and family, followed by lavish receptions in Mumbai and Bangalore. For their first wedding anniversary, Ranveer and Deepika took a spiritual route and offered prayers at the Balaji and Padmavati Temple and followed it by visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

On the work front, Ranveer and Deepika will reunite on the silver screen for Kabir Khan’s next directorial ‘83. This sports drama features Ranveer in the role of Kapil Dev with DP essaying his on-screen wife Romi Bhatia. ’83 is slated for release during Christmas 2021. Apart from this, Deepika has Shakun Batra’s next, Nag Ashwin’s next, and The Intern’s remake. She has also been extensively shooting for ‘Pathan’ with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. While Ranveer Singh will be next seen in ‘Jayeshbhai Jordar’ and ‘Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani’.
