Actress Ankita Lokhande, who garnered a lot of love for her lead role in the ZeeTV show, Pavitra Rishta, is soon going to be seen in the lead role in an upcoming murder mystery film. The team of the film titled Iti was supposed to begin shooting this month, i.e., April 2021, but is now delayed due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Read on to know more about it.
Ankita Lokhande began her acting career with the television show, Pavitra Rishta on ZeeTV, opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in 2009. Both the lead actors received a lot of love, along with the show. Later, in 2019, Ankita Lokhande began her acting career in films, with the historical biopic, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, which starred Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. She was later also seen in a supporting role in the 2020 action film, Baaghi 3, which starred Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.
After appearing in supporting roles in two big films, Ankita Lokhande is now all set to appear in a leading role in a film, for the first time. The film is titled Iti, and is a murder mystery in which, Ankita will be seen playing the role of the main investigator. The film will be produced by Prerna Arora, who is the head of the production house KriArj Entertainment. The production house has been known for producing big films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Rustom, Pari, and PadMan.
The film, Iti, was announced last year and was supposed to begin filming in April 2021, and be released in this year itself. However, the pre-decided schedule of the film is currently disrupted due to the severe spreading of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
