In a recent interview, AR Rahman opened up about working with Thalaiva Rajinikanth in his films. His revelation will definitely shock you. Read on to know the details

AR Rahman, the Oscar-winning musician, reflected on his time writing music for Rajinikanth movies and recounted that it wasn’t really always a fun experience. Rahman stated in a recent interview on the Our Stupid Reactions YouTube channel that collaborating on those films was ‘hell’ due to the tight schedules and enormous stress.

Rahman revealed that, like any other artist, he undergoes creative blocks, but he claims that the greater issue is pressure. “At least now it’s much better than it used to be. we started in March when I was doing Rajinikanth movies… People would then say that this film must be released by Diwali. And then I’ll just do the tunes, the background, and the electricity used to be a little wonky at my place. We used to keep two generators on hand. It was a living hell.”

He claimed that because I used to manage a variety of projects at the same time, he would inevitably have to take precedence the Rajinikanth films, which would irritate the other directors he worked with. “I was doing three movies a year, whilst the numerous different directors would tell, ‘My thing is coming on Diwali, too, AR,'” he explained. It was a living hell. I used to despise all of these celebrations, whether it was Diwali, New Year’s, or Pongal because I never got to cherish them. There is a lot more enjoyable now.
Rahman has composed songs for several Rajinikanth films, including Muthu, Sivaji: The Boss, Enthiran, and, most lately, 2.0. At the trailer preview event for the film in 2018, Rahman stated, “Superstar is my favorite hero.” It is due to his career’s uniformity. His lifestyle inspires me. I’m attracted to his spiritual practice as well.”

Ajay Gnanamuthu’s spy thriller Cobra, starring Vikram and retired cricketer Irfan Pathan are among his other projects.
