Balika Vadhu 2 had gained a lot of popularity amongst Indian households. According to reports, Sejal aka Shiju Kataria has left the show and will not be reprising her role after the leap. Find out what made her take this decision
With its fascinating storyline, nail-biting surprises, and more, Balika Vadhu 2 has become a household franchise. Apart from Anandi and Jigar, Sejal called Shiju Kataria has captured hearts onscreen with her maternal love and care. Now comes the breaking news that Sejal aka Shiju Kataria has left the show and will not be reprising her role after the leap. When asked about it, Shiju said that she made the conscious decision to leave the program because the leap will bring in an older generation, and she was uncomfortable playing a mother to co-stars who were close to her age.
Even while she was first chosen Sejal she was told that the leap would take a long time. For the next 2-3 years, Anandi and Jigar would remain Sherya and Vansh, but the transition was abrupt, and new characters with a completely different storyline were created. Hence she decided to stop playing Sejal after the leap. Adding to it, she said that, now it’s completely wrapped up. It’s been a fantastic ride, but it’s finally come to an end. The show is very much alive, and that her character will be portrayed by someone else who is more fit for the role.
Balika Vadhu 2 is an Indian social drama series on August 9, 2021. It’s a remake of Balika Vadhu, which aired in 2008. Shivangi Joshi, Randeep Rai, and Samridh Bawa feature in the drama. Balika Vadhu’s relaunch was confirmed in early 2021. The casting was delayed in April 2021 because of COVID-19 pandemic-related lockdown in Maharashtra, and it restarted in June 2021.

The show’s creators planned to include a time jump in November 2021. The role of adult Anandi )was given to actress Shivangi Joshi. Kinshuk Vaidya was once thought to be an adult Jigar. However, the producers passed on him in favor of Randeep Rai, who will portray the role opposite Joshi. In the show, actor Samridh Bawa was also cast as adult Anand.
