Deepika Padukone Is Being Targeted Because She Participated In JNU Protests, Allege Congress Leaders
Trending NewsTo answer Congress’s allegations, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra clarified that BJP has not targeted anyone as the entire case is handled by the NCB.
The NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) has beefed up its investigation to expose the drug syndicates operating in India. Many top Bollywood personalities are under the agency’s radar. However, political parties have a different take on NCB’s investigation of Deepika Padukone. Congress party leaders allege that the actress is being targeted because she was a part of JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) protests. After these allegations, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra clarified that BJP has not targeted anyone as the entire case is handled by NCB. Sources also revealed that the drug case will now be taken forward under the guidance of NCB Chief Rakesh Asthana.
Actor Nasser Abdullah questioned NCB’s investigation methods. He said that if Kangana Ranaut has confessed openly that she was a drug addict and has consumed drugs several times, why is she not being interrogated. Further, the actor also said that though he has nothing against the actress, yet he thinks there should not be any bias in the investigation.
