The famous cricket Twenty20 cricket league, IPL (Indian Premier League) is back. The IPL 2021 started this Sunday that is on September 19. Yesterday was the second match of the season that took place between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Banglore at UAE. The cricket match witnessed Virat Kohli’s team’s defeat against Eoin Morgan’s KKR. In the first inning of the match, RCB was batting and scored only 92 runs. Whereas, KKR completed the target by losing only one wicket. For an unversed, this match was marked as RCB’s sixth-lowest total in IPL.

Taking this humiliating defeat of Royal Challengers Banglore into consideration, an old tweet of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone resurface on social media and is going viral. In the initial years of the T20 league, Deepika Padukone used to be a regular supporter of the RCB. But then, during one of the RCB and Rajasthan Royals match back in 2010, the Challengers bowled the Royals out for 92 after Praveen Kumar and Anil Kumble picked up three wickets each. This all made Deepika Padukone go and Tweet about RCB.

“92!!is that even a score!? Way to go RCB! with u guys all the way…watching every second of it live!”, Deepika Padukone wrote on her Twitter handle back in 2010. The Piku actress’s tweet was surrounded by a game between RCB and Rajasthan Royals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore back in 2010.

The Royal Challengers Banglore was then led by Anil Kumble and won the game by 10 wickets. In the same match, Jacques Kallis was titled as the man of the match. However, Yesterday’s match was Virat Kohli’s 200th IPL match. Virat Kohli’s team didn’t ace in batting and neither in bowling. Whereas KKR’s spinner Varun Chakravarthy and fast bowler Andre Russell took three wickets each. Shubman Gill and Venkatesh Iyer added 82 runs for the first wicket. As a result, KKR took their first victory of the IPL 2021.
