When it comes to serving their country proud, precisely a few Bollywood actresses have left no stone unturned. They’ve put on some of their best shows, and their arrival in this glitzy metropolis was nothing short of a watershed moment for the country.
The year 2000 is regarded as the pinnacle of the Indian beauty pageant industry. It was a historic year for the country as it won three important titles: Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Asia Pacific, and we owe it all to three stunning women Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra, and Dia Mirza.
Dia Mirza recently ended up taking a walk through nostalgia and scored gold on Thursday. She posted a precious Instagram picture with Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta, as well as herself, from across the period of the Miss India event in 2000.
With Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta, we’re going back to the year 2000. Dia used the hashtag #ThrowbackThursday to describe her Flashback Thursday post.
“Three women with a heart full of hopes and each other to rely on,” Lara remarked in the comments section. In the year 2000, Lara was declared Miss Universe, Priyanka won The Miss World, and Dia Mirza was named Miss Asia Pacific. Soon after, all three of them earned their Bollywood appearances.
Priyanka, Lara, and Dia are perfectly synchronized in black as they embrace donning their individual queen sashes in the retro jewel.
Lara had uploaded a then-and-now post depicting a scene from Miss India 2000 contest in 2019, mentioning Priyanka and Dia.
Priyanka saw Lara and her child Saira in New York last year and wrote on Instagram about their friendship, saying, “21 years and still going friendships that may wind up at any point.” Lara Dutta and her brightest star Saira, you are unmistakably your mother’s daughter. I absolutely adore you. There’s a lot of affection for these women. And there are so many memories”, she continued.
