Did You Know, Twinkle Khanna Was A Coolie For Mom Dimple Kapadia Before She Stepped Into The Bollywood Industry? Not Really

Twinkle Khanna is one of the most beautiful actresses that we have from the 90’s era. The actress has now turned into a prominent writer and has written many books which are highly appreciated by the netizens. In the recently released book titled On Camera Off Camera, the actress has spoken about her journey and has given a glimpse of her bond with her mom Dimple Kapadia.

Dimple Kapadia is one such actress in Bollywood who still has a huge amount of fan following for her looks and her acting skills. Daughter Twinkle has shared a small part about her relationship with her mom and has revealed how she used to carry her luggage all the time while accompanying her at the airport before she stepped into the Bollywood industry.

Sharing a glimpse of the book titled On Camera Off Camera by Bhavana Somaaya who is film critic and editor, Twinkle wrote, “Snapshots of the past. This book by noted film critic and editor @bhawanasomaaya is delightful with anecdotes and sometimes an in-depth analysis of the people within their celluloid trappings. This brought back some wonderful memories. #mustread.”

The excerpt in the book is all about how the writer met Dimple and her mother at the Mumbai airport in 1994 while waiting for their flight announcement. She says Twinkle was weighed down by the heavy load on her shoulders as she sat on a chair. As the writer told her that she should enjoy her freedom until she becomes a star and is surrounded by bodyguards, Twinkle replied, “I can’t say about the future but at the moment I’m serving as a spot boy for my star mother.” When she asked Dimple why she carries so much weight, she replied saying, “Because my mother doesn’t like checking bags, she hates waiting on landing, so here I am playing the coolie for the queen.”

Everyone is appreciating the for the way she was back then and she is now, as Twinkle shared the glimpse of this on her social media fans showered her with her love and for her behavior, one fan wrote, “Twinkle has inherited intelligence, wit humor from her father, lucky girl” where another fan wrote, “I can picture the whole set up”. Her comment section was full of fire and heart emojis.

Twinkle Khanna is one of those the most prominent Bollywood actresses we had, however, she later bid adieu to the industry to pursue her dream and love for writing. The actress is married to Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar for over 19 years now.
