Diljit Dosanjh’s Song For Rihanna Triggers War Of Words With Kangana Ranaut Yet Again
Trending NewsAs pop-sensation Rihanna extended her support to farmers’ protest in India, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh dedicate da song to her, which, eventually, reignited a war of words between him and Kangana Ranaut.
Ever since the farmers’ bill passed in Parliament in September 2020, it grabbed headlines for all the wrong reasons. From farmers denying to accept the bill to liberals mocking the Modi-led government, the issue managed to save a spot in trends. Later, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut too, spoke about the issue while Diljit Dosanjh came forward to extend his support to the farmers. Amid all these chaos and farmers’ protest, pop-singer Rihanna also threw some light on the issue. And within a day, Diljit released a song on her titled ‘Riri’ (another name for Rihanna) as a token of appreciation. However, it seems that Diljit’s way to thank RiRi has not gone down well with Kangana Ranaut.
Interestingly, the song went viral as it bagged more than 3-lakh views within a couple of hours of its release. As per the credits given in the song, the lyrics of the song has been written by Raj Ranjodh while the music is by Intense. The 2.15-minute Punjabi song called Rihanna an angel and talked about her home country Barbados.
Sharing her piece of mind on Diljit’s song for Rihanna, Kangana Ranaut wrote, “Isko bhi apne 2 rupees banane hain, yeh sab kabse plan ho raha hai ? One month toh minimum lagega to prep for video and announcement, and libru want us to believe it’s all organic ha ha“, which means, “Diljit wants to make some money. Since when were you planning this? It would have taken at least one month to prepare for the video and the announcement”.
On the other hand, the Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari actor was quick to give his response to Ms Ranaut as he wrote, “2 Rupees. Don’t tell me about your job. it takes half hour for me to create a song. I just don’t feel like making a song on you else it would take only 2 minutes. You have to speak everywhere. Please go away and don’t bore me. Do your work”, in Punjabi. Well, Diljit’s tweet was not the end of his spat with Kangana, as the latter yet again clapped back at him. In her response, Ranaut said that being patriotic to the nation is her only job. While calling him Khalistani, Kangana warned him that she will not let him do what he wants to. The war continued as Diljit, in his response, asserted that Kangana’s words don’t make sense to him.
