Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt star in Disney’s Jungle Cruise, which will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu theatres on September 24. According to sources in the international press, the picture was released internationally in July, and a sequel is already in the works.

Disney’s Jungle Cruise is an adventure-filled, rollicking thrill-trip down the Amazon with swashbuckling skipper Frank Wolff and courageous researcher Dr Lily Houghton, inspired on the popular Disneyland theme park ride. The Jungle Cruise, which first opened in 1955, is one of the most enduringly enthralling rides in the Disneyland theme parks.

It’s a second movie by Disney, Since at least 2004, after the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie revealed the moneymaking potential of a theme park ride reimagined as a film franchise.

Emily Blunt scene-stealing performance in The Devil Wears Prada earned her critical and popular praise, and she went on to star in a number of films, including the period drama The Young Victoria.

The great Johnson

While, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has had one of Hollywood’s most unexpected careers, transitioning from professional wrestler to true movie star in a matter of years (a leap that other famous wrestlers have mostly failed to make).

Johnson is the most followed American man on Instagram, with 254 million followers, where he posts fitness routines and family moments, as well as breaking news about his projects that would have previously been announced through studio press releases.

Back in 2002, The Rock made his leading-role debut in The Scorpion King, and he was paid $5.5 million to do it. For a first-time above-the-title name, that sum was the most ever paid. The Rock is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. In 2009, he became a half Canadian citizen in recognition of his Canadian ancestry.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Jungle Cruise also stars Edgar Ramírez and Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti.
