We all love collaboration. Right! And this time it’s none other than Elton John who has come up with his new album with music industry’s biggest name. Elton John has released The Lockdown Sessions, a new album that comprises collaborative tracks with Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, and other musicians. The album was recorded during the Covid-19 pandemic, as the title suggests, and the singer has described it as one of the most fantastic things he has done on social media.

Charlie Puth, Glen Campbell, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Nicks, and Stevie Wonder are among the album’s artists. Expressing his gratitude, Elton said, not only he has been able to work with artists that have greatly inspired his music, but he has also been able to collaborate with musicians at the beginning of their careers and from genres far outside of his own, all of whom have immense skills and talent. During the release, Elton John addressed a letter expressing gratitude to the artists involved.

The Lockdown Sessions has 16 tracks, 10 of which are previously unreleased. Cold Heart – PNAU remix by Elton John and Dua Lipa, which has charted well in the UK and around the world, is also included on the album.
John had previously become the first musician in the UK to be in the top ten for six decades with Cold Heart. His song also charted at No. 81 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking his 68th appearance on the list. Someday Out of the Blue, which debuted at No. 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 29, 2000, was his first single to chart.
BTS dropped the renowned 74-year-old artist in their latest single Permission to Dance, which was released on July 9, after a string of smashes. The Grammy-winning musician was the third to receive a magnificent ode from the Bangtan Boys, following Michael Jackson in Dynamite and Usher in Butter.
