EXCLUSIVE: Television Star Amar Upadhyay Reveals Exciting Deets On The Upcoming Track In Molkki And More

Amar Upadhyay is a renowned and well-known television actor in the tinsel town who has given us several stellar performances right from his debut show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and his character of Mihir Virani made him an overnight television sensation and ever since his television debut in 2000, today he is considered as a nuanced television star who has given many pathbreaking performances in an illustrious career so far spanning 22 years now. He has proven his versatility as an actor by creating a strong place for himself in the Bollywood industry as well with films like Its My Life, Kaagaz, 13 B, and Bob Biswas to his credits as an actor.

Virendra Pratap Singh in TV czarina Ekta Kapoor’s hit show Molkki which marked his comeback to the small screens after a long sabbatical.

In his recent interview, when asked about his take and opinion on the current track of Molkki, On this, Amar said, ‘Definitely it is a wonderful feeling since the producers, writers, and creatives keep on trying different experiments and we want audiences to get hooked to Molkki and sometimes we succeed. Sometimes we don’t but by the grace of God, thankfully we all have been successful in doing this’.

When asked about the Purvir separation and when can audiences expect them to reunite, in reply to this, Amar asserts, ‘I am happy that the audiences are liking the track and Balaji has this formula in which lovers don’t meet since that is what they like to do. When the main leads don’t meet for a long time, this keeps audiences hooked and guessing as well and this is great to watch and people love watching these kinds of shows wherein two people who love each other are separated’.

Giving his take on Purvir, Amar shares, ‘People love Purvir very much and I am really happy about that because this is an odd pair on television in which there’s a 40-year-old man and 20 years old girl. People have given so much love that there are many Instagram pages for Purvir. So I think this is a huge compliment and I am thankful for all my fans that love me so much’.

When asked about the upcoming track and are there going to be any new twists and turns in the show, on this Amar said, ‘There are a lot of twists and turns in the show and there is a lot of high-voltage drama coming up. People would love this power packed drama and I think that Molkki is going to shock people out of their own wits since superb high adrenaline drama is coming up very soon and people will love the show even more’.

Finally when asked on his feeling when audiences and fans have applauded his performance in the show, Amar reveals, ‘I am very blessed that people have liked my performance as I have given everything that I have as an actor to this show and it is a different character for me to be playing Haryanvi as I have never played Haryanvi role in my entire life and with a Haryana backdrop, the show itself is looking very different from the rest of the shows in television and Molkki stands out beautifully when compared to other shows on TV. We are holding our ground strongly. Though we have yet to reach number one show but the show is doing well since people are loving Molkki day by day and audiences from all age groups are loving my character Virendra Pratap Singh a lot so I am very thankful to the God. A very beautiful track is coming ahead so people should wait for that’.
