On January 11, 2020, fans of power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were in for the biggest news of the year. The couple was blessed with a baby girl! The Indian skipper shared this lovely news with a text post on his Instagram account.

Virat and Anushka had shared the news of her pregnancy with the world in the month of August last year. They had also stated that they are expecting the baby’s arrival in January 2021. Ever since, Anushka managed to keep her fans regularly updated on her health through her social media page.

And finally, yesterday, Virat Kohli announced the arrival of their li’l bundle of joy on Instagram where he wrote that both Anushka and the baby girl are healthy and doing fine. He thanked everyone for their love and blessings and requested for privacy at the moment. The ace cricketer shared the news in English and in Hindi respectively.

Virat and Anushka had announced that they would call the baby ‘COVID Kid’ in a fun way because the baby was conceived during the COVID lockdown of 2020. Also, reports say that now the Indian cricket team captain has taken a break from the matches to spend time with Anushka and their daughter.
