Many Bollywood films have been affected due to the ongoing pandemic. While several film shoots were halted due to the lockdown in different states, various other films had to postpone their release. One such film is Kartik Aaryan‘s Netflix release, Dhamaka. After postponing the release of the film earlier, reportedly now the makers are looking at a new release date in the month of September.
Dhamaka is an official remake of the 2014 South Korean film titled, The Terror Live. Kartik Aryan will be essaying the role of a journalist, Arjun Pathak. He’ll be seen in a completely different avatar than his usual comic role with the boy-next-door charm. Dhamaka also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amruta Subhash, Vikas Kumar and Vishwajeet Pradhan in significant roles.

Dhamaka was earlier scheduled to release in the month of June on Netflix. But the film has now been pushed forward and will be a September release. This change had to be done as the postproduction of the film is still underway and Netflix didn’t want to compromise on the quality of the film.

Kartik Aaryan has talked about Dhamaka multiple times on his social media. In fact, he also shared the motion poster and the official poster of the film on his last birthday in November 2020. Later, in March 2021, the actor also shared a small teaser from the film, giving everyone a glimpse of his character, Arjun Pathak. The actor can be seen struggling to go LIVE on TV and talk about his show. This teaser has surely intrigued the audience regarding the film.
