Khari Biscuit
The movie revolves around two poor kids who live on the streets. The elder is called Biscuit and the younger sibling, a blind girl, is called Khari. At a young age, Biscuit was told to treat his sister like a princess and protect her heart and wishes at all costs and the boy grows to do just that. They both love Sachin Tendulkar and Khari tells his brother that she really wants to see the World Cup! Now, these children have no money, but Biscuit decides to leave no stone unturned to fulfil his sister’s wish. Watch this movie for the bond between siblings, the joy among children, and the love for cricket!

Gulabjaam
Starring Siddharth Chandekar and Sonali Kulkarni, GulabJaam follows the journey of Aditya Naik, who returns from London to Maharashtra because he wants to open a restaurant in India. He goes on a quest to learn cooking authentic Marathi food and crosses paths with Radha. Aditya convinces this fussy, hard-on-the-exterior woman to teach him everything she can because he falls in love with her food. Gulabjaam is a tale of food and love and leaves you warm inside. A must watch if you want to watch a light movie that is also sensible and pleasant.

Pipsi
This is another story of a brother-sister duo, set in a different context. Balu and Chaani are in school. Their mother is sick and could be dying. They hear that souls of humans reside in fishes so they innocently set out to save every fish they see, hoping that one of them would have their mother’s soul. The plot takes place at the time of drought in Maharashtra when the water is scarce and time is hard for everyone. Will they succeed?

Lai Bhaari
This action drama is indeed an enjoyable watch. Riteish Deshmukh made his debut in the Marathi film industry in 2014 with this film. There are amazing actors like Tanvi Azmi, Radhika Apte and Sharad Kelkar in the film. This story has killings, look-alikes, and a lot of great punchlines and action. For all masala and action movie lovers, this one is a must!

Fatteshikast
This historical drama focuses on the surgical strike led by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj against the Mughal army in Pune. It is a true-blue period drama with a larger-than-life approach. If you love history or patriotic films, this is the one to watch. Starring Chinmay Mandlekar, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Mrinal Kulkarni and Ajay Purkar among others, this movie boasts of power-packed performances.

Ti and Ti
This 2019 romantic comedy stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Prarthana Behere, and Pushkar Jog in the lead roles. The story revolves around Anay, who has married Sai and gone to London for his honeymoon. In London, he meets his childhood crush, Priyanka and is then caught between the two women. It’s hilarious and the shots are lovely in scenic London. What more would anyone want?

A typical Marathi political drama, Dhurala has powerful actors and a great storyline. This film, which came out last year, was greatly liked by the audiences and stars Siddharth Jadhav, Sonalee Kulkarni, Ankush Chaudhari among others.
