Manisha Koirala & Kartik Aaryan To Star As Mother-Son In Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo Remake!

Recently, Kartik Aaryan was seen dancing to Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo song, Buttabomma and his fans started theorising that the actor is going to star in a remake of the film. Now, there are reports of talks going around about the Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo remake which will star Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. Tabu who plays Allu Arjun’s mother in the film was approached again but the makers have their eye on Manisha Koirala for the role.

Reportedly, the actress has even said yes to the role and will be seen sharing screen space with Kartik Aaryan as his mother. Both actors have not come out with an official statement yet about this remake. Kartik Aaryan was supposed to be a part of Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 but was removed from the cast and banned from Dharma Productions over a huge tiff. There are reports that Karan Johar has even unfollowed the actor after the controversy. But, Kartik will be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Dhamaka and Sajid Nadiadwala’s next, Satyanarayan Ki Katha.

Manisha Koirala was last seen in the American comedy film Indian Sweets and Spices and Maska. In the past decade, Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer but has fought her battle with it and come out cancer-free. Ever since she has been making appearances in some films as well. She was part of two big films, Sanju and Prasthanam in the past couple of years as well.

Coming to the film in question, Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo is a 2020 Telugu film that starred Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde, Tabu, Jayaram, Suhsanth in major roles. The plot revolves around a baby swap that puts the hero, Bantu in a stranger’s house whereas his own father is an affluent businessman. The film was a commercially successful movie and one of the biggest hits of the Telugu industry in 2020. It is yet to be known if Pooja Hegde was approached for the remake or not.
