Payal Ghosh Files Official Police Complaint Against Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap

Actress Payal Ghosh, who alleges that she had faced sexual harassment from Anurag Kashyap has filed an official police complaint against the filmmaker in Mumbai. According to the news reports, the complaint was registered at Oshiwara Police Station, and Payal Ghosh was accompanied by her lawyer Nitin Satpute. Payal had tried registering a complaint on September 21, however, due to the absence of a lady constable she couldn’t file the FIR. The actor’s lawyer claimed that Anurag Kashyap may get 3 years of imprisonment under section 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code if found guilty.

On the other hand, Kashyap rubbished all the allegations imposed against him by the actress. The filmmaker initially remained silent but later released an official statement from his lawyer on Twitter. When Payal was asked if she had any proofs against Kashyap, the actress stated that she doesn’t have any text messages nor any recordings of that day.
