Bollywood director Sanjay Gupta is all set to come up with the third instalment of the Shootout series and the film is expected to go on floors as soon as the details are fixed. According to various reports, the director has lately been working on the film and will be finalizing the cast line up soon. The film is expected to be based on the JJ Hospital shootout of 1992 which had left the entire nation shook to the core. The most notorious criminals of the era, Dawood Ibrahim and Arun Gawli were said to be involved in this shootout, making it a major event in history. The Shootout series by Sanjay Gupta has delivered two blockbuster movies so far, namely Shootout at Lokhandwala and Shootout at Wadala and the third instalment is expected to be just as exciting.

According to the video attached above, he will be coming with a new venture which will be a part of the Shootout series. The Shootout series includes two films, Shootout at Lokhandwala and Shootout at Wadala, both of which have been a major commercial success at the box office. The director has reportedly been working on the script at the moment as is expected to reveal details about the film soon.

The upcoming film will reportedly be titled Shootout 3: Gang War of Bombay and will be based on the shootout that happened at the JJ Hospital in Mumbai. This story unfolded when the notorious gangster Arun Gawli killed Dawood Ibrahim’s brother, Ibrahim Parkar. This started an open war between Arun Gawli and Dawood Ibrahim, resulting in the shootout at JJ Hospital. The upcoming film will also showcase Dawood Ibrahim but it is yet to be seen who will be roped in for the role. Previously, late actor Rishi Kapoor had portrayed the role in the film D Day and was also heavily appreciated for his work.
