Satyameva Jayate 2 Box-office Collections Day 1: John Abraham And Divya Khosla Kumar Begin Their Journey On A Slow Note; Earn This Much On First Day
Box officeMoviesJohn Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 hit the screens a day prior to Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma starrer Antim. But before it spells its magic
A day prior to Salman Khan, Aayush Sharma and Mahima Makwana starrer Antim: The Final Truth, the makers of John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 decided to release the film. Ever since theaters have re-opened, SMJ has become 3rd film to release on the silver screen. Earlier it was Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif led Sooryavanshi followed by Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh starrer Bunty Aur Babli 2. While Sooryavanshi has crossed the almost 180 crore mark and is inching closer to the 200 crore mark, Bunty and Bunty 2 has miserably failed at the box office with a collection of Rs 10 crore in almost a week.
John Abraham and Divya Khosla’s Satyameva Jayate is touted to be a mass entertainer film which is full of action, drama, thrill and triple role of John Abraham. But looks like, their first day of release being a working day has shown an effect on its collections. Satyameva Jayate 2 has begun his journey on a slow note. As per the latest reports, John Abraham starrer registered a low number on the first day of its release. Satyameva Jayate 2 has made a total collection of Rs 3.60 on the first day of its release at the box office. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle and revealed the film’s first-day collections and wrote, “#SatyamevaJayate2 registers low numbers on Day 1… Multiplexes weak… Single screens of mass circuits better, but not enough to compensate… Going forward, will need to grow on Day 2, since it faces another mass-centric film [#Antim]… Thu ₹ 3.60 cr. #India biz.”
Looks like, the film will have to grow stronger as it has another mass entertainer film Antim: The Final Truth that has hit the screens today i.e., November 26.
Recently, we had exclusively brought you the film’s first-day collections at the box office. Film Business Expert Girish Johar told Zee5, “It’s difficult to say because it’s a working day so it might start on 10%. But on Friday, it should be around Rs 6 crore plus.” He went on to add, “But the problem is that if the film is bad, it will go down. Had it been a normal release, then we would have predicted, accordingly.”
