Soundarya Sharma Opens Up About Difficulties Faced By An Outsider; ‘You’ll Get Everything If You’re Somebody’s Girlfriend’ – EXCLUSIVE

Bollywood’s budding actress Soundarya Sharma is leaving no stone unturned to make it big in B-town. After being seen in Ranchi Diaries, Soundarya has been spilling the magic with a few music videos and a couple of digital shows. The stunning actress, who hails from Delhi, recently sat down with Zee5 for a telephonic interview where she poured her heart out. A couple of days back, we brought you her reaction to Salman Khan’s tweet that had a special mention of her name. Salman Khan had given a shoutout to Soundarya and Salman Yusuff Khan’s new song Mast Barsaat, which was released on Wajid Khan’s birth anniversary.

During our exclusive chat, we asked Soundarya if, being an outsider, it’s difficult to grab good projects, she said, “TBH, ‘difficult’ is an understatement being an outside. But with digital platforms, things have changed. I wanted to take my own time to come up because the competition is so high aur abhi saari ladkiyan mere saath hi aagayi hai. So, it’s become so difficult. Earlier, when it was Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone’s time, then there was nobody new. But now it’s very difficult with so much awareness. Forget about talent, platform is not given.”

She went on to add, “For people like us, there’s no stage set, so you have to keep trying hit and trial. So if you perform well, the audience will say, ‘Oh, she’s good’ and that’s when you get the recognition. Toh hamare liye aisa nahi hai ki ek movie karli hogaya. We have to do different music videos, ads, different kinds of cinema, and many other things then only you’ll get recognition.” Further commenting insiders, Soundarya said, “Or the other small access is you come with a surname, or someone’s girlfriend, you’ve been put there, you’ll get everything on your plate.” She lastly said, “Times have changed and I am getting calls from those who have told me in the past that they’ll get back but they never got back.”

Speaking about her upcoming projects, Soundarya told us, “I have 4 digital shows and 2 films coming up. I am also in talks for more. I also have 2-3 music videos in the pipeline which will be released soon. There’s another big surprise that I will hold back from talking about. So all in all I have a good line-up of projects.”
