Sumona Chakravarti Opens Up On Her Struggles With Stage 4 Endometriosis

Television actor Sumona Chakravarti has been staying indoors since the COVID-19 lockdown began. Her show had to stop the shoot because of the restrictions. She recently revealed that she has not had any work ever since the show came to an end. She also spoke about her struggles with Endometriosis.

Sumona took to her Instagram handle to share a photo of herself post her workout session. She was seen wearing a black sports bra and blue shorts while posing for the camera without makeup. She mentioned that she worked out after a long time. She added, “Some days I feel guilty because boredom is a privilege. I may be unemployed & yet am able to feed my family & myself. That is a privilege. Sometimes I feel guilty.”

She shared how the pre-menstruation syndrome makes her feel low and she also has a lot of mood swings that create havoc emotionally. She also revealed a few personal details about herself which she had never talked about before. She has been suffering from endometriosis since 2011 and has been on the fourth stage for the last few years. She shared, “A good eating habit, exercise & most importantly no stress is key to my well-being. The lockdown has been emotionally hard for me.”

Sumona mentioned that everyone is struggling from something or the other in their lives. Everyone has to fight their own battles. Everyone is surrounded by loss, pain, grief, stress, hatred. But all that people need now is love, compassion, and kindness. She also added that sharing a personal detail like this wasn’t easy for her. She concluded by saying, “But if this post can bring a smile or inspire in any way to even a handful of souls, then I guess it was all worth it.”
