Sunflower Teaser: Sunil Grover’s Fascinating Crime Comedy Is On Its Way To Show What Happens When Crime Meets Chaos

ZEE5 is soon going to get its first-ever crime comedy titled Sunflower. Starring Sunil Grover, Ranvir Shorey, Ashish Vidyarthi, Girish Kulkarni, Mukul Chaddha, and Shonali Nagrani, the series will revolve around a murder mystery that takes place in a housing society. The teaser of Sunflower just dropped, and it looks like the series is going to be a fun ride.

The Sunflower teaser begins with a glimpse of the characters of Sunil Grover, Ranvir Shorey, and Mukul Chaddha, and a girl’s voice, which is praising the name of the society, that is ‘Sunflower’. Right from the beginning, the teaser sets a mysterious tone for itself. Then the teaser shows a glimpse of Ashish Vidyarthi’s character, who is taking pride in the way the housing society functions.

The background music throughout the Sunflower teaser maintains a sense of eerie mystery and gives us a feel of a detective series. Further, in the teaser, we see the event that forms the crux of the show’s story, of ‘when crime meets chaos’, as murder is reported in society. Ranvir Shorey and Girish Kulkarni play the roles of cops who arrive at the society to investigate the murder.

We also get to see a glimpse of Sunil Grover bringing his forte of creating humour into the show, as he is trying to crack jokes amidst the ongoing murder investigation. This scene makes sure that the show will succeed in keeping its promise of being the number one crime comedy across all the OTT platforms. The teaser also has a montage of its other characters, which conveys that each and every one of them is going to be quirky, and the show is going to be absolutely entertaining.

After the teaser, some things that we can be sure of, regarding Sunflower, are – its unique plotline, all of its characters will be the main attraction of the show and it will be hard to forget them, and that it will be worth looking forward to. The series is helmed by Queen director, Vikas Bahl. 

Sunflower premieres on ZEE5 on June 11.
