Taapsee Pannu-Tahir Raj Bhasin Starrer Looop Lapeta Gets A Release Date

Taapsee Pannu will be soon seen romancing Tahir Raj Bhasin on-screen. The duo will portray the lead roles in the movie Looop Lapeta. Directed by ad filmmaker Aakash Bhatia, the film is a Hindi adaptation of the critically-acclaimed German thriller Run Lola Run. Recently, the makers have announced a release date for the film.

Taapsee Pannu took to her official social media handles and posted a video teaser of the movie. The actor posted the video with the caption, “Brace yourself to meet Savi and Satya….. #LooopLapeta in theatres this October 22, 2021, a comic thriller we rarely get!” Looop Lapeta is produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar’s Ellipsis Entertainment, and Aayush Maheshwari.

Looop Lapeta is a narrative about Savi, played by Pannu, who finds herself in a tricky situation when her boyfriend Satya gets unknowingly trapped in a crisis. The film shooting started in November and wrapped up last month. It is shot in Mumbai and Goa.

Taapsee is the first-ever romantic lead for Tahir and while praising her, the actor said in a statement, “Taapsee is very committed to the script and since carving out Satya and Savi’s romance is such a central part of Looop Lapeta, we were both geared to breaking the ice as soon as possible. She has incredible charming energy and a very contagious smile. Right from our first look test together, I found it effortless to make a connection and work with her.”

Furthermore, Tahir Raj Bhasin talked about their on-screen chemistry and said, “I’d say rawness and a crazy unpredictability. A romantic lead pair is like a dance duet and having Taapsee to the playoff is an electrifying feeling on set. I anxiously await to see the audience reactions to this soon. Satya and Savi’s romance shuttles between this mad attraction and visceral implosions; precisely what makes the pairing so magnetic, comic and yet relatable.”
