Telugu celebrities offer condolences on the death of Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar

In an unfortunate turn of events the sudden demise of Kannada power star Puneeth Rajkumar, aged 46yrs, has left all the movie industries in shock. The actor was known for his roles in films Raajakumara, Doddmane Hudga, Rana Vikrama, Power, and Anna Bond. Puneeth, the youngest son of veteran Kannada superstar Rajkumar, passed away on October 29 due to a heart attack. The actor experienced a sudden chest pain at around 11:30a.m, when he was at the gym. He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital and after keeping him in ICU for sometime, he was declared dead by doctors.

This news spread like wildfire, gathering mourning from all his family, friends, fans and well-wishers. The social media profiles are filled with expressions of loss and remorse on this unfortunate incident. While his Telugu fans are extremely sad about the news, some of the Telugu stars like Jr. NTR, Mahesh Babu, Prakash Raj, Ram Ponthinenj and Chiranjeevi took to social media to pay their tribute to the demised star.

Mahesh Babu said that Puneeth was one of the most humble people he had ever met and interacted with. Megastar Chiranjeevi felt ‘devastated’ & ‘shocked’ about the news, and extended his sympathies towards Puneeth’s family. He also declared his death to be a huge loss not only for Kannada film industry but also for the entire Indian cinema. Prakash Raj said that it was an unfortunate occurrence and labelled the day as ‘black Friday.’ Bollywood celebrities from Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan to Ajay Devgan, took to their social media accounts to express their grief and mourn the death of the actor.
Puneeth began his career as a child actor with Bettadu Hoovi and got the national prize for the best child artist. He made his debut with the movie Appu in 2002. Sadly, he was last seen in Yuvarathnaa.
