The Intern: Neena Gupta Teams Up With Badhaai Ho Director Amit Sharma Once Again; Actress To Share Screen With Amitabh Bachchan And Deepika Padukone

Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao were the faces of Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s directorial film Badhaai Ho. The film turned the tables for both the actors as they were one of the neglected actors in the industry. Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao have expressed their gratitude to the Badhai Ho director Amit Sharma. Neena Gupta even told IMW Buzz that she might have quit acting if Badhaai Ho hadn’t come along. After Badhaai Ho the actress will now work once again with Amit Sharma in Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starrer The Intern remake

Amit Sharma reacted to this by saying, “It is very kind of Neenaji and Gajrajji. But it’s their own talent, hard work, and their good fortune that they’ve come to this belated stardom. Neenaji’s career is now rocking. She is so much in demand that she has to turn down roles. Gajrajji tells me his life and career have changed completely. Not just Gajrajji but also his wife and children are enjoying his success.”

Amit Sharma shares Gajraj Rao’s excitement and said, “The other day he called to excitedly tell me he was in a showroom when he heard shouts of ‘Gajraj Sir’ behind him. When he turned around it was the paparazzi wanting to take his pictures. Gajrajji said he had never thought in his wildest dream he would one day be chased by the paps.” Adding more sparkles to this, director Amit Sharma also promised to cast Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in all his films. “Gajrajji has a solid part in my Maidaan(featuring Ajay Devgan). There was no role for Neenaji in Maidaan. But she is definitely a part of my next film The Intern with Amitji,” said Amit Sharma.

Talking about Intern, it is a Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, The Intern. The film will star Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and now Neena Gupta in the leading roles. Along with acting Deepika Padukone will be co-producing the film. The film was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres in 2021. The Covid-19 pandemic affected the release of the film. Now, the makers of The Intern have decided to shift the release date to the summer of 2022. The film starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Neena Gupta will surely be a hit one.
