t’s a clichéd saying “goodness conquers all” but there is also a lot of truth in it. This story of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya is exactly about that. It involves 3 characters whose actions directly and indirectly affect each other. Dimple, an innocent, docile, small town girl, living in a patriarchal family has had her brothers as the only male figures in her life. She looks up to her brother and thinks of him as the perfect embodiment of an ideal man. Gobind, Dimple’s brother is a college goon and a classic male chauvinist who always dictates her. Dimple joins Gobind’s college where Varun, his rival and competitor at the college elections, rags her along with the rest of the freshers who have joined college. Gobind warns Varun to stay away from his sister . Varun detests Gobind equally, so he decides to trap Dimple and get her to fall in love with him. Dimple initially resists Varun’s efforts as she believes that her brother’s orthodox mindset is the way to go and those with a modern approach are not to be mingled with. Eventually Varun manages to get this way through with Dimple and befriends her. But Varun realizes that even though Gobind is a high headed jerk of a guy his sister is quite the contrary. Dimple’s goodness and simplicity attract Varun. Dimple reciprocates with feelings to Varun as well. She enjoys his company because unlike her brother, he lets her be and shows her how to have a good time. But Varun decides to confess and let her know of his initial intentions and how he had a change of heart because of Dimple’s simplicity. Dimple is extremely hurt on hearing his intentions and doesn’t give him a chance to explain. She asks him to walk away from her life and tells him about how her brother has been right about him all along. Will Dimple give Varun another chance and will Varun be able to win his love back?
